PostSubject: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins   Sun Dec 06, 2009 8:03 pm

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she is forced to represent her district in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before-and survival.

Oooo! I like that one too.
I like the part when Peeta says he wants to show them he's more than a part of their games. I can't remember the exact quote, but I love it.

I was going to get this book this weekend but the snow has grounded my lil car and Amazon and Barnes and Noble both don't deliver to my school... which is completely ridiculous cause it's a REAL street name that we are on -.- But anywho I can't wait to read this series since I see that most of everyone who has read it, either likes or loves it. Smile

Okay, so this is late, but I got the first book from the library the other day and it's reallyyyy good Smile. I looove it! It reminds me of Tamora Pierce's books, in a way. I guess you'd have to read her books to understand that, though XD.

Anyway, these books are awesome ^.^. I can't wait to read the second one :3.
