PostSubject: The Night World Series by L.J. Smith   Sat Dec 12, 2009 2:00 pm

Vampires, werewolves, witches, shapeshifters -- they live among us without our knowledge. Night World is their secret society, a secret society with very strict rules. And falling in love breaks all the laws of the Night World.

In Secret Vampire, Poppy thought the summer would last forever. Then she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Now Poppy's only hope for survival is James, her friend and secret love. A vampire in the Night World, James can make Poppy immortal. But first they both must risk everything to go against the laws of Night World.
Fugitives from Night World, three vampire sisters leave their isolated home to live among humans in Daughters of Darkness. Their brother, Ash, is sent to bring the girls back, but he falls in love with their beautiful friend.
Two witch cousins fight over their high school crush. It's a battle between black magic and white magic in Spellbinder.

Yeah, but I gotta read them so buying them wasn't a waste. I think they would make good 'inbetween' books to read for moments like these when I'm waiting for Burned XD Razz

Personally, I loved these books. I just picked the first one up randomly and looked at the back cover to see if it had vampires [x], werewoloves [x], and any other lovely supernatural creature[s] of the night [x] so I got it.
Hey, for $10 a book, which has three stories in it, it's cheap.

I think that's maybe the reason I found them boring. And this goes for The Wicked Series too. But, I think it's because there's more than one book in one and I could never get into books like that. Weird, huh? I think if I had them separately, I would have enjoyed them more. Now, I just stay away from book with more than one in them. Smile

I think it's also because they don't really connect like most series do. Well from what I have read so far they don't connect at all.

Ive read the first volume and i loved it but i wish it stuck to one set of characters and just continued with their story instead of introducing new characters and a new plot with each book

i agree onyx i have all the books which mean 9 diffrent storys and i was so sad when it went from one story to the nexted and harded said another word about the other charter i would have love it to have been a long story with fixed charters rather then all diffrent ones but there are good stories but could have been even better our way lol

I've read two volumes now =]
I havn't got round to the third one yet since I've been buying books left right and centre.
From what I've read they're really good =]
All the characters are sort of interlinked...by the time you've read a few different stories some characters you recognise pop up XD

The series has 3 books (9 short stories) and then in the end there'll be a 4th book tying everything together. Or is that supposed to be the 5th? scratch

Oh well, but you get the idea.
