There were no surprises in Gatlin County.
We were pretty much the epicenter of the middle of nowhere.
At least, that's what I thought.
Turns out, I couldn't have been more wrong.
There was a curse.
There was a girl.
And in the end, there was a grave
.

Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of Gatlin has ever seen, and she's
struggling to conceal her power and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. But even within the overgrown
gardens, murky swamps and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.

Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin,
is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town's
oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover
the connection between them.

In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.

Some secrets are life-altering…
Others are life-ending.

Spoiler:

Release Date: October 26, 2010!

It's addicting!

I think this book has made it to my top 5 favorite book series.
It's ;
Cirque Du Freak by Darren Shan
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Beautiful Creautres.
Knockd off Twilight, I'm tired of Twilight.
Sorry. Even though it was the second series I read.

Ok back on topic.
I love it so far. But I don't want a movie for this. Neutral

I love it! And it keeps getting better and better! I don't think I'll be sleeping tonight! It's just so good!
I actually would love to see this on screen, but I think it'll be a bit a a challenge because there's a lot of inner dialogue and descriptions for stuff that can't really be displayed on the screen. But, I really love the magic element! It's very unique.

Ehh, I have to stop reading it. Sad
I have to read for school and write a review about it in Spanish.
So it'll take me a while.

I'm going to avoid your review Evie.
For now. I don't want spoilers or anything. Very Happy

i like it so far :] im like on page 50
though, theres one thing i would like more about it (though i do like it) but even though its in the point of veiw of a guy its kind of written that of a girl. not unbearbly so its just throwing me off a little. THATS only currently though :] it may be different later on.
