PostGreen Witch Review

Green Witch

Alice Hoffman

What is loss?

THE ECHO THAT SURRONDS THE WORD
GONE.

What is love?

THE DEEPEST OF YOUR HEARTS DESIRES.

Green lives everyday with feelings of
loss. Her family is gone, the boy she loves is
missing, and the world she once knew has
been transformed by tragedy. In order to
rediscover the truth about love, hope, and
magic, she must venture away from her
home, collecting the stories of a group of
women who have been branded as witches
because of their mysterious powers. Only
through their stories will Green find her own
hear'ts desire.

Charcters: Green, the lost gardner. If she plants seeds at night they will be full grown by morning. She helps out the villiage but she can't help herself. The Finder, mysterious quick. Give The Finder a small present and a letter and he'll find whatever you want. But he cannot find what he wants. Diamond, the boy Green loved. Is he the enemy, or is he captured?

Journey/Story: In the last book "Green Angel" Green learned how to love again. Now she must learn what love truely is and how much it means to people.

Alice Hoffman has done it again. Her two books that I have read (Green Angel, and Green Witch) always have diffrent meanings between me and my friends. But that's what specail. There is no dictated way to read this book as there is for others, you just read and take your own opinions. For instance I love when Green says "You can watch a cloud. Watch it change to a latren, a swan, a rose. But it's still a cloud, isn't it?" Although my friend doesn't really take anything from that. Maybe that's why I love these books so much.

"We are all still here and we are all still fighting,"
-Luna Lovegood

'"Don't judge." he said. "Just listen."'
